The kick off meeting among the partners was kindly hosted by project leader Militos Consulting SA in Greece, with the support of project initiator Sea Teach in Spain and representatives from the beneficial partners from Bulgaria, Portugal and Poland. The objective of the Blue Generation project is to inspire, attract and engage young people (15-29 years old) to take advantage of the job opportunities available in diverse Blue Economy sectors – from coastal tourism, fisheries, aquaculture, and maritime transport, to ocean energy, marine biotechnology, ship building and maintenance. During the meeting, an overview of the foreseen implementation steps has been provided and discussed among the partnership.

The Blue Generation Project (June 2018 – August 2022) is funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment and is implemented by an international consortium in five EU Member-States (Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Portugal and Spain), with support from Blue Economy Experts from Belgium, Germany, Iceland and Norway.
